Dr (Dame) Belinda Bobby Diei Is widely acknowledged and recognised as a legal luminary, having held prestigious positions within and outside Nigeria, after being called to the Nigeria Bar in 1982.

DR Diei was the National Publicity Secretary/Editor, National Secretary of the International Federation of the Women Lawyer (FIDA) and later became the first Vice-president of FIDA (World Wide). 

DR Diei was a Board Director of the Imo State Tourism Board and Oguta Lakes Motels. She was the first female Chairman/Presiding Judge of the industrial Arbitration Panel, a Federal Government Court established in 1976 with the responsibilities of handle industrial disputes.  She represented Nigeria at the Resolutions Committee of the International Labour Organisation (ILO) in Switzerland and was also a member of the Standards Committee of the ILO.

She is the Founder and Executive Director of the Women Justice program (WJP), an NGO accredited to the United Nations and holds an observer status at the African Commission on Human and Peoples Rights. She is the Editor-in-Chief of the Women's Rights Monitor. She was a member of the Presidential "Think Tank" for former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan. Member of the First Lady's Committee for former First Lady, Justice Fati Abubakar.

DR Diei belongs to many professional and non-professional groups. She is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association and the International Bar Association to mention a few. She has received many awards including -- "The Igbo Icon", "Who is Who in Nigeria" amongst many others. In recognition of her excellence and contribution to the progress of her Community, She was made the first female High Chief of her Town with the of Title of "Lord Emerald".
